Original artwork, existing only as a physical Oil painting on canvas.
The beautiful gaze and the braided hair motivated me to make this Oil painting on canvas in a fusion of abstract and realistic styles.
Brushing and Sculpting thick oil paint for the hair and blending smooth tones into the face causes added texture and contrast. Hopefully drawing your focus to the eyes.
The most satisfying parts of portraiture is when the face seems to come to life on the canvas. This usually happens after the highlights.
This Oil painting is definitely 'locked on' to the viewer with an intense gaze.
Painted using Palette Knives, brushes and occassionally, hands. Finished with fine, detailed Brushstrokes and marks.
